Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking to buy some older vintages from them and would like to know peoples experiences.
Thank you,
Vamsi

I have purchased from Simon Lambert and received my wines in good condition on multiple occasions both at retail and auction.
Nothing but good things to say about them.
highest possible marks
Very solid – attentive, no monkey business with inventory, vintages or substitutions.
Multiple orders over the years. No problems. They ship as instructed.
Great info…thank you very much.
I have dealt with Simon Lambert extensively in the mid to late 80s. He was nothing but a professional gentleman then and I can’t imagine that ever comes to an end now.
Say Hi for me.
I’ve bought from them (and will buy again) with no qualms and many older bottles in excellent condition. Great place.
Good folks, buy with confidence.
I’ve had good experiences with them.
What everyone else said.
I started buying from them at auction in the late 70’s. It’s been a while, but first rate operation
People, I think we can put this thread to bed now.
This retailer did us on Certain-de-May 1982 we ordered 3 cases and got 3 bottles
The price went up. So we got fu–.
I’ve bought from them since 1991 with only one issue. I’ve got about a dozen mid-1990s Bordeauxs that I bought about 10 years ago, and now that I’m starting to open them every one of them is basically vinegar. The fills look fine as do the cork positions, but the wine is half way up the corks. I didn’t keep my records so haven’t gone back to them to complain, but they would probably make it right. I say go ahead and make the buy, but ask a few questions on the provenance, storage, and how they’ll be shipped from Europe.
Agreed. Been buying since the mid 90s without any issues.

I’ve been buying from Simon for over a decade, first class retailer.
I’ve had one experience with these guys, but it was awesome. Bought some older stuff at great prices. Simon called me to tell me there was an error in the listing of one of the items I bought, but I knew it was and I knew what I was buying. Just wish they shipped to Texas, but that isn’t their call.
I had a storage agreement with Ben Ferdinand before he moved to on to Hart. This was when they didn’t ship to Michigan prior to the lawsuit, and Ben agreed to hold wines until a critical mass was attained. Well naturally, Ben was gone by the time I drove out with a van for 20 odd cases (which I had done in the past) ans Simon refused to honor the agreement or refund my money. In fact he was an absolute snot about it.
