Thank you for finding the screenshot.
Based on what you’ve shared, it appears the product page may indeed have shown a Magnum while a 750ml bottle was delivered. If that is the case, I apologize for the error.
As email communication seems to be having issues, please send me your preferred payment details by private message. Based on the difference between the advertised and delivered bottle size, I am prepared to reimburse 50% of the purchase price. If you would prefer to discuss another resolution, I’m happy to do so.
I’d also like to thank you for bringing this to my attention, as it helps us identify and correct listing errors.
Hi Noah,
You’re right that I publicly stated you were entitled to a full refund if the listing error was ours. My subsequent email focused on the practical difficulties and cost of returning the bottle to Europe, and in trying to find a compromise I wasn’t consistent with what I had said publicly.
I should have handled that better.
If you are still willing to resolve this, please send me your preferred payment details by private message or email, and I will honour the full refund I offered. We can then discuss the return of the bottle separately if necessary.
My goal is to resolve this fairly and close the matter.
Bart,
You have acknowledged that things were messed up on your end, and that you have taken steps to correct the issues. That said, your communications here place burden of proof solely on the customer. If George hadn’t taken a screen shot (I would never think to do that), would you stiff him? It sounds that way.
You are also making the return of the bottles the customer’s issue. It’s not, that issue is all yours. Expecting the customer to do anything other than potentially dropping the bottle off at say, Fedex or UPS, is asking too much.
If your goal is truly to earn the community’s trust going forward, your communications thus far are falling far short of that goal.
Many wineries/shops simply eat their mistakes as a cost of doing business, as well as the PR aspects.
I would hope you rethink your position(s).
Dave,
Thank you for your feedback. Just to clarify: we did not ask George to post screenshots publicly; we asked to handle the matter by email so we could resolve it properly and privately.
That said, I take your broader point. If we make a mistake, it is our responsibility to fix it with as little burden on the customer as possible.
We are working to earn that trust through actions, not words.
— Bart
Whether he posted the screenshot publicly or privately, the point remains. It certainly appears that, absence of that screenshot, you would stiff him.
If you think folks are going to order from you, but they have to document everything, well, they will find other sources that are more reliable without having to keep ultra-detailed records.
Bart, I appreciate using AI to formulate responses, but you should take out the top line.
The name includes the word “rue” . . . .
Irony, in a certain sense?
Bro at this point just stop posting. You’ve buried yourself deeply enough.

You have my payment information. If you want to refund me, feel free to do so. If you do, I’m happy to let the community here know. But you’ll forgive me if at this point I’m no longer interested in coordinating shipping anything back to you in Europe.
The audacity… You buy something from a store in the US and because their business model is buying wines they don’t have in stock in Europe, they ask you to send it back to Europe because of their mistake.
What a shitty way to run a company.
Update: I just received a refund of €613, which has been returned to my payment card. Thank you for all the support from the community.
I also received a full refund- just cleared the other day. Thanks, everyone.
