Retailer Check: Millesima Futures

I won’t deny the CS wasn’t a little snobby, but I got my wines timely and expected, 3 cases worth. I can’t complain and I would purchase from them again (prices willing).

Just got 5 cases of 2019 futures delivered on Thursday, including my Lynch Bages. Smooth and flawless. Although I’m nearing the end of buying futures (age), I would happily do so again from them.

Have been ordering from them for many years and never an issue. Just got my 19 Mouton and LMHB.

What’s libelous about what I said? First time buyer with them, have been told on 3 separate occasions my order is coming ‘next week’ going back to October, and yet no order has been shipped (make that 4 times, since I was told the same thing yesterday). Stating the facts here. Would you be concerned as a consumer in my shoes?

Concerned that they are going under? Not really. Especially reading all the positive experiences here. I might be upset I have to wait, but opining active fraud is a different story.

I’ve never bought with them before this year and I’m still waiting on some of my wines. Not really worried about it. :man_shrugging:

Never had any issues with them. Got my 19 Mouton and Pontet Canet last month.

I know they had a delay with their overseas shipments.

As an aside they are shifting to a new location. It’s a few blocks down the road and 3x the size. Looking forward to visiting that soon.

Experiencing the exact same problem right now (actually I have had to chase them over the last 6 months). To those on this post who say something about statements being “libelous”… There are so many shenanigans that go on in the wine world, everyone should be paranoid and alert (especially when someone has your money). I am in the very unhappy and very suspicious category when it comes to these guys/Millesima.

If it’s any consolation I recently got mine. Not that you should have to, but keep chasing them.

Thanks. The really funny thing is all they have to do is say “hey dude we are delayed, sorry, we think it will be another 3 months.” IT AINT THAT HARD!

When I heard the “your futures are on the next boat” line a few months ago after only getting through on the fourth or fifth try, I had immediate flashbacks to Premier Cru. :ship:

Yeah perhaps if premier cru were owned by one of the largest negotiant firms in France.

If you cant run a business, it does not matter ownership! #SiliconValleyBank#Enron#youfillintheblank

I ordered about 20 cases of 19s from millesima. They came in relatively piecemeal but I’ve received everything I ordered. Still have some 20s pending.

I would not buy from Millesima for futures again. Aside from waiting a long time for my 2020 futures to finally arrive, the 3x150 of Canon arrived in Dec and it had clearly been damaged and repacked by FedEx. Only one bottle was still in the box and it was all beat up. Not their fault, but I let them know immediately and sent them photos.

Several follow up emails later, I finally heard back today, more than 2 months later, and they offered me a store credit for the purchase price of the 2 bottles. Meanwhile, they have bottles listed on their website for 50% more than I paid. I told them I wanted replacements or a refund and they put a discounted order through for 2 bottles, so I’m going to get the bottles, but that’s super shady not to do that in the first place. And of course I’m still stuck with the third bottle that has significant label damage.

I’ve been chasing them on a refund for a bottle (that arrived to them damaged and as a result was never shipped to me) for the past couple of months. Not worried about getting the refund eventually, but this has been enough of an annoyance and time/attention suck that I can’t see ordering from them again.
