Retailer check. Grand Vin

Did a search first and nothing came up. Anyone ever bought from Grand Vin Wine merchant in WA? They have the champagne I want in stock. Are they reputable?

I bought a case of NV Jacques Selosse Initiale on Poppy’s recommendation. As of yesterday, the last bottle was depleted and I need to restock it to keep my wife happy. Thank you Poppy for the heads up on this excellent champagne. [cheers.gif]

Ouch. Guess not.

Anyone know of a retailer that has what I am looking for at decent price then?

Grand Vin is in Olympia, not close to Seattle, so most of us probably haven’t been there.

Communication is good, but some things are “pre-arrival” and you don’t know (or I didn’t realize) until you go to check out. Waiting for my first order, due this month. Fingers crossed!

Well. Two things about them raised a red flag. One, their contact info says they are experiencing technical difficulties and two, the item that I want says 90 Days which I assume is pre-arrival but it doesn’t mention that.

Anyone else care to chime in about experience with Grand Vin? Thanks!

I also found them thru W-S when I was looking for Selosse and Krug, but they were prearrival so I didn’t order any. Plus, I have no experience with this retailer, so that gave me pause. Good prices tho. Slight thread drift…Why is Selosse so expensive?

I have good experiences buying in-stock from them. Did buy and receive one pre-arrival, but with a couple hiccups. They are slow in responding to email/phone messages. Definitely will buy in-stock from them in the future, but want to see improvement in customer service and a longer track record before risking more pre-arrival dollars.

Think it is Bordeaux Wine Locators list.

Kind of like Aabalat is Atherton’s list.

I did not buy from them due to lack of responses from my e-mails. Big FAT pass.
