My wife and I are celebrating our 30th Anniversary with a trip to Grindelwaled, Zermott, Vevey and Annecy in July (in that order). We will have a car throughout the trip and are interested in suggestions for restaurants in or relatively near (or worth a trip from) these towns and restaurant suggestions en route. I have drifted away from Michelin starred restaurants over the last several years, but it is a pretty big anniversary, so all suggestions are welcome.
I had dinner at this casual wine-centric restaurant in Annecy a few years ago and thought it was quite good. You can check the list online, although I have no idea how updated it is.
In Annecy, it’s been 7 years, but we enjoyed dinner at Cafe Brunet. Fun place that definitely fits in this picturesque city. Lots of dining areas, a good wine list. As I wandered around, kept finding small chalk boards with interesting other wines available.
We just returned from Annecy and were there in early SEP 22 as well. Had an apartment so most of our meals were in, but we did do a splurge dinner at the 3* Clos des Sens on this trip, and lunch at the 2* Auberge Per Bise in Sep. Both were fantastic, but food and service being roughly equal, we would return to Pere Bise due to the idyllic location on the Lake. Ideal spot for an Anniversary lunch and you may be able to hire a water taxi boat to take you from Annecy to their dock for a little extra touch.
