Ordered and watched Red Obsession last night on disc via Netflix, just made available last week. As mentioned by some previously, well shot but little of substance for those interested in the actual tasting and drinking of Bordeaux, the wine…as opposed to the commercialization of Bordeaux, the brand and particularly the role of the recent obsession of well-heeled Chinese consumers and collectors, along with speculators, in jacking prices (with the help of the quality of the '09 and '10 vintages).
There are however, a half dozen sound bites that make for good entertainment, most of all Christian Moueix’s somewhat bemused mention of how much wine he had just had for lunch, stated by no means as unusual
