Last night so lock and load if you haven’t. Went with a mixed 6…
2 x Bard
1 x Tempest
2 x Moonracer
1 x Hartwell
I’d love to do more however physics and pragmatism weighed in. When I’m stacking boxes, and they are pretty boxes, it’s just what it is, That said, looking forward to these in a few decades I guess. Also have the Beckstoffers, that’s a nice fall.
Any Realm ‘top clients’ here who received their book, The Realm Way? Scott reached out to me a few weeks ago, offering to send me one, and I graciously accepted. He included a fantastic note from which I may pull some phrases and use during our next BerserkerDay or similar
I received one. A very nice touch for sure. They do seem to get, much better than most wineries, that connecting with their clientele is a differentiator. Very cool to learn about their early days, and its clear that they are making big moves in the Valley… They are solid peeps making delicious wines- easy to support…
Excited for the Fall 2024 Release - first time getting an allocation from Realm and I maxed out both on Bard and Tempest (including the wishlist) based on the release notes by Scott and Benoit, as well as some early reviews here on WB!
We are excited to announce a special Large Format Drop will begin on Tuesday, October 29, at 10AM and will end on Friday, November 1, at 11:59PM Pacific Daylight Time.
This Drop will feature Magnum (1.5-Liter) and Double Magnum (3-Liter) bottles from across our portfolio, ranging from vintages as old as 2010 to as recent as 2021. Quantities are extremely limited for each bottling, so these wines will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Our seasonal Spring and Fall Releases will continue with guaranteed allocations, and participation in this Large Format Drop will not affect your seasonal release guaranteed allocations.
In the absence of the 2020 vintage, some members may remember that we offered large format bottles in our Spring Release of 2023. Since then, we’ve received many requests for certain vintages or wines in Magnum or Double Magnum formats. We’ve elected to offer these rare bottles as a Special Drop to members who have either previously purchased large formats, or who have specifically expressed an interest in accessing these bottlings.
Is anyone else sort of disappointed in the large format special drop? I was hoping for a 2012 vintage of something (marriage year), but the oldest I got was a 2014 Farella. Did anyone get anything older? Not too big of a deal as I’ll get to save some money.
Good evening all, sorry I’m late to the party! Brian, looks like the powers that be took care of you! Drew, at the risk of you spending some money, I think the team has been in contact with you about finding something from 2012. Ted, closer to 19 inches but nevertheless it’s tall! In recent vintages, we moved to a format that is shorter and wider.
Thanks for the continued support. I know large formats aren’t for everyone and we felt it was more equitable to share these as a first-come, first-served drop rather than guaranteed allocations. Inevitably that means we won’t be able to get everyone exactly what they want, but we will certainly try to get close. We will keep this open for two more days, so if you have a specific request that you don’t see on your offering, call the winery and let us know.
Stay tuned for more Realm X events for next year, where we will try to feature some large format bottles. Somehow it just feels more festive and fun when we open the larger bottles, and we finally have at least some age on them to make it interesting.
Thanks Scott. As always, the transparency and engagement are a breath of fresh air. A lot of fun to dream of the possibilities you laid out in front of us. Hard to restrain, but was happy to pull the trigger on a couple for future celebrations.
