Ravenswood library offer

i had to wish list inside of 5 mins. just went back now, and both options are NA.

Anyone know the estimated cost to ship to Virginia? I called Buffalo Shipping Post and they said Ground was $135 for a case. Yikes! I sent a message to info@onceandfuture.com as well.

I was able to buy a case as I have an account with Domaine - if anyone in the NY area wants a few bottles or to split, happy to share.

I went ahead and placed a wishlist order the first go-round. Hopefully I was in the queue if availability changed.

Got tied up in a work call and got to wishlist only. May be for the best if shipping was going to be crazy to VA

Wish list only

Emily was correct earlier, I went back in after her response and a case was available (which was previous only wishlist). Hope you did get moved over before all went out…

Nope, I’m on the wishlist waitlist. They said they’d get back to me in a day or two.

Was busy so I’m wishlist also. I’m fine if I don’t get any and someone else gets a chance. I got in the other two or was it three times? I’d love more but I’m OK sharing

I missed it, still great to know there is this much demand for these wines.

I opened a 1995 Pickberry (a Bordeaux blend of some sort) from a 750ml to include in a tasting a few weeks ago.

Nothing flawed or oxidized, it was just a wine whose window had passed, and it was quiet and faint. We often talk on here about wines that have oxidized, madeirized, etc., but I think think this was a good example of how a bottle was otherwise perfect and no flaws happened, but it had just been opened too late and it was fading away. You could have drunk it and it was completely inoffensive, but there just wasn’t much left to it, and it didn’t come around later than evening or the next day.

I had a magnum of this same wine in October 2023, and it was superb. So somewhere between 1.5 v. 750 and just the inherent variation of 30 year old wines, there was the difference.

Not to mention the completely random nature of the tree bark.

My experience with the Pickberry (and Icon) wines I got from the library releases was similar. The wines that consistently showed best were merlot, petite syrah and the zins

91 Picksberry in 2022 was exceptional (a great bottle at least). I have one left I’ll pull soon to check out.

The 91 Gregory cab has also been good, so perhaps just indicative of the year as well.

Hi Emily, for the local pick up, is there a specific date for that or is it to be arranged by each customer.
Thanks, love these wines!

Tom

Hi Tom! You can set up an individual time to pick up, or we can have it ready for you at the Bedrock pickup dates in March (which will be March 8 & 15).
