I just got word that a former client, but foremost a friend, passed away a few days ago. He was part of an existing book of clients I inherited and instead of shying away from the ‘new guy’, we talked for at least a half an hour, told me what he liked and then told me to send him a mixed case of whatever I wanted. When I moved on, he came with me to my new place. But more than that - we’d talk 2-3x’s a week just for fun. Dirty jokes, NSFW emails, whatever – just a great guy, one of the perks of being ITB are people like him.

52 years old, survived by his wief and 2 children. I’m going to open something tonight (he was a Cali Cab & rhone guy) and have a glass in his memory.

BTW-I’m hoisting the 2006 Grgich Estate Zin, but it is definitely not worthy. I would open something else in his honor, but I have to work tomorrow. [pwn.gif]
