Just got the email, no prices yet. This may be the year I pass, even if they do not raise prices. If they threw in free shipping, maybe…At this rate I’ll have no mailers left. Feels kinda liberating. ![]()
Got mine also…$125 per.
Easy pass for me, no longer my style.
I still have people lining up to buy my allocation. Go figure.

Just had the 06 QC last week and it was really delicious. Will likely remain a buyer.
Open an 03 with a 2 hour decant and tell me it is not Bordeaux like. What is your style? You like the taste of Ex-Lax???
EZ Pass here. I have enough 99-05 to last me 20 years.
I’m on the fence. If I don’t buy i’m off the list. Main problem is that i’ve only popped 1 05 Cab and a few 03 red wines and have not been moved.
Passing, too. Not worth the freight to me anymore.
Someone on the other board said its the “best this decade.” ![]()
Don’t they say that just about every year??? ![]()
I didn’t get the email (probably went to spam), but just got my allocation letter today in the mail.
Again, just in time for me not to buy any. I’m not a fan of the wines, and they cost too much, and I’ve purchased too many wines lately, and one can’t flip them anymore…

You can skip four offerings before they’ll eject you from the list.
I’ve enjoyed the wines since the first vintage I had (1994) and expect to continue to purchase. Starting with the last offering, they began shipping to Connecticut, which makes it easier to not skip.
I just got the snail mail. With S&H and tax, these are not just $125. I am dropping off and someone else can take my spot. Wine prices have become laughable
. I was in store last week and Insignia was $200 and another store had a special “sale” on Insignia for $159. Pahleeze…what are they nucking futs [middle-finger.gif].
Uh, no change from last year’s price.
Uh, yeah I know. I made a decision to stop buying wines over $100. I am older and have enough QC. The 98 and 99 still need some cellar time IMHO. I am also out of Bordeaux due to the age issue. Of course the pricing made that an easier decision also.
As an aside, my allocation was reduced from last year. I have started to drop off of lists, and though I will probably stick with this one, I am astounded that they believe they have adequate demand in this environment to reduce allocations. Was this a year of small yields in WA?
Do you have a history of ordering your full allocation? If not, may be an attempt to spread it around.
A buck and a quarter puts this on my “hmmmmm, do I really want this” list
I only have bought 3 bottles of 2005 and allocation is up to 6.
My other friend who does not order for 4 mailings still gets allocation of 3.
Same here. I still have 8-10 bottles. I do enjoy opening them blind for a certain person who LOVES Jay Miller, and says he LOVES QC. Especially fun when he scores them 90 and below. ![]()
