2004 Rhys Alesia Pinot Noir Sonatera Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (10/13/2009)
Just a touch of brett on the nose. This wine starts singing with an hour of air. Black cherry, a hint of pine/rosemary and a touch of citrus. Extremely well balanced and it just lingers on the tongue with that juicy acidity. My last bottle and the best of the three. -
1996 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (10/10/2009)
Very green upon opening - green pepper out the wazoo. Mellowed with a bit of time in the glass. Still showing some green pepper, earth and dark currants. Plenty of tannin and life left.
