    Upon opening I got a hint of brett which was evident on the palate as well. Along with the brett, beef blood and dark fruit are predominant in what I found to be a balanced, well-rounded wine. Should hold for a while. Nice pairing with grilled veal chops and fingerlings oven-roasted in duck fat.

Sounds like the '06 I just picked up locally for $10. Nothing great, kind of dirty but otherwise fine.
