Quick notes from my ski trip:

I’ve had some nice wines this week.

2001 Jones Family: Really a great bottle of wine. 94 points

1998 Quilceda Creek Merlot: I’ve had this wine a few times and it’s probably the best QC Merlot made IMHO. 92 pts

2005 Pride Syrah: Needs more time but drinkable. 89 pts

1995 Hartwell Sunshine: killer stuff. 95 pts

2003 Mitolo Rever: Nice wine, good nose…reminded me of my last Heitz Martha if you can believe that. 92 pts

I’ll be drinking the big boys this weekend.

Your verbosity is really testing my patience, Coelho-wannabe. Btw, I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with Melissa Theurieau during your time away skiing.

Steve,

Glad to read your notes on the '95 Hartwell Sunshine. I have a few in my cellar purchased this past year, but haven’t tried it as yet. What other Cabs would you compare it to in terms of style ?

Gee, lemme guess from whom you purchased those…?

Jan, the Hartwell was a very elegant wine and it reminded me of a 91 or 94 Dominus.

HI Steve, can you expound on your '01 Jones and add it to our little running list of 2001 Cabernets found at the sicky level?

Thank you. [foilhat.gif]

Probably the same place Steve and I got ours. [ok.gif]

You bought yours in Menasha, WI from Doris, too?

I actually picked these up from my second favorite wine store in Chicago.
