Question re Hudelot-Noellat Bottling Practice

I just received 3 btls of the H-N Les Murgers and noted some seepage on the capsules. Trying to see if this is a handling issue or if like Leroy and Gaunoux the bottles are filled quite high and therefore there’s seepage from inserting the cork. Thanks in advance!

here was same problem;

with “hudelot noellat capsule seepage” gives many google results.
had only 2008 suchots with no sign.

It’s a mystery but I have the same issues with my bottles of Murgers and Chambolle villages. I’ve not opened any of my Suchots. But yes, puffy capsules, seepage, reduction, variable fills, it’s all there. Remarkably, however, the Bourgognes seem fine.

I haven’t had those issues, with 08-11s. Expect my 12s this week, hopefully not there either.

Hmmm. The various threads do seem to suggest that this is winemaker issue rather than a shipping issue. I’ll admit to being uncertain about whether to return the bottles. I’ve definitely had bottles with seepage through the cork and the wines were all fine. Uggh.

Was at the domaine last week to taste the 2013s again with Charles. He’s made some gorgeous wines again. Village Chambolle, VR Beaux Monts and the CV really stood out - although the big two are, of course, superb.

Just had an offer of mags of 2012 Malconsorts at € 275 each though. Not really a compelling proposition at that price.
