Apparently there are at least 2 different cuvees…can somebody tell me about these?

I only ever saw Cuvee B, so I am of no help.
I assumed it was some marketing ploy.
Well…what sucks is that the front labels look exactly the same…only way is to look at that small box on the back.
If I remember right, they are from two different sources. I don’t remember details. There can be pretty big differences between his labellings due to that. It would also make it frustrating when reviewers would review his wines from barrel and then one didn’t know which barrel was labelled a particular way.

Was this around the time Rovani refused to review his wines?
They are just separate parcels of Mazis. In '99 (maybe in other years too) there was even a C, for Hospices de Beaune called Madeleine Collignon. I think I have a bottle of one of them somewhere. I remember tasting some of these wines with someone from Stacole in Miami a bunch of years ago (not '99s though) and that’s what they told me.
By parcels, you mean two different growers/vignerons, right? (Not two sections of MC from the same person.) That is what I heard. The Hospices bottling should have the Hospices labelling.
@Daniel - Could be. I thought I remembered someone not reviewing his wines because there was too much confusion in the labelling so the consumer had no way to match the review with the wine. If it was Pierre, then bully for him.
