I pick this up occasionally as it has a different slant on some topics.
From the Winter 2010/2011 QRW mag. I grabbed this in particular for a Clive Coates tasting of Michel Gros’ 1er Clos des Reas which I’m doing a small vert later this month.
However this caught my eye - From contributor Al Vuona Jr. and his column named ‘cork screwed’
Quote " Ageing gracefully is a universal desire. For those who stock their wine cellars with big, long lived reds natural corks are a must. They allow oxygen to interact with the wine thus preventing cork taint. Can screw caps do that?"
Classic.
