QPR: Hayman & Hill Meritage 2006

I am really enjoying this right now, esp. for the $11.80 I paid for it.

I am not experienced taking tasting notes, so my impressions are pretty basic. The aroma is a bit like cabernet to me. On the palate, there is a nice dose of red fruits with some darker ones such as plum. There is also quite a bit of oak, but not enough to where I find it offensive.

It would be interesting to compare this to the Louis Martini Sonoma people are raving about on here for about the same price.

So would I. I doubt we get this in Portland, so put 'em in bags and have at it.

I’ll expect a full report.

Their Santa Lucia Highlands pinot is also a good QPR…and, yes, I sell it.

The NFL was pouring The Louis Matini Sonoma at the Super Bowl tailgate party. It was a pretty good wine and one of the best wines I’ve ever had at a large event like that.

A local retailer is sellin the H & H for 7.99 per. So, I will pick up a few to try based on the original post.
