Yes, beautiful choice @Brian_Pinci and noted above.

Quick note for everyone. This is a judgement free zone and an opportunity to enjoy our amazing community, meet friends both new and old, eat good food, drink good wine and all in real life. Please bring what you enjoy drinking and get a chance to enjoy other’s wines as well. So many kind and generous people tasted me on amazing wines over the years and I look at this as an opportunity to pay it forward.

Cheers from your host and organizer.

Wondering what the peoples thoughts would be on Gewurztraminer with the duck course? We’d be happy to bring several bottles from dry to sweet as a comparison to reds(pinot) with the duck?

I for one, love Gewurtz! I don’t usually bring to wine dinners because I end up drinking it all myself! Which ones were you thinking?

Donnhoff and Weinbach for sure, but have other options if there is interest.

Have a Weinbach Gewurtzraminer Cuvee Theo we could bring, but only 1 bottle, so if Darryl wants to bring one too that might cover the group? We’ll also bring a red of some sort, maybe a Grenache or a new world Pinot for the Peking Duck.

I had a 94 Trimbach Gewurtz SGN last year that wow’d me. I think that anything in that style would be prefect with either course.

I actually have a 94 Zind Humbrect Pinot Gris Urbain VT that could be an be a fun contrast if people are interested. Or I can just bring some riesling.

Shh, don’t tell anyone about the 94s from Alsace …

Considering the other choices, and looking at a few things I’d like check in on, we can bring:
2013 Dönnhoff Gewürztraminer trocken Private Reserve
2007 Domaine Weinbach Gewurztraminer Cuvée Laurence - for style comparison to Theo
2016 Zind-Humbrecht Gewurztraminer Roche Calcaire Lot 17G
2012 Theo Minges Flemingen Herrenbuckel Gewürztraminer Auslese

The Gewurztraminer diversion doesn’t we were subtracting the others previously mentioned, will still bring the 2019 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese magnum and the Marguet Champagne Grand Cru Shaman 16 … just to make sure we have enough wine.

Oh nice, that’s super generous.
