As New Year’s is right around the corner, had to let everyone know my local Trader Joe’s (Arlington Hts., IL) has 375s of Ernest Rapeneau Champagne for just $11. While the Champagne is nothing special, it’s definitely a step up from their $20 private label 750s. This, to me, is the perfect wine to stock up on if you’re looking for budget friendly Champagnes to crack open with a casual brunch or to buy in mass for a large NYE toast with non-wine geeks.

I think these are pretty solid, and in some markets are even cheaper at $10 per. Even if labeled brut I seem to remember them being more on the dry / extra side.
How’s the cellar project going?
Had to put it on hold while we built our dining room table. ![]()
My goal is to have it done in time for NYE. Crunch time, baby.

shout out mark b, legends never die! for the princely sum of $12.99 this is a no brainer. pn/pm dominant blend with red fruits to back it up. frankly i would take this over nv veuve.
They have mercifully updated the packaging!
I’ll check my TJ’s but I doubt we get it on the best coast.
Grabbed two; trying one tonight.
These used to be $10 a split and I always thought they were pretty reasonable. If I remember correctly, it’s from some co-op. For some people in my family, they prefer to open up a half bottle of bubbly rather than a full even though one can typically get a good deal on a full bottle rather than halves.
