Protecting bottles (labels)

Just bought a couple of high-end bottles. I am 99% sure that I will be the one drinking these in the end so, its not a huge deal…but you never know what might happen financially etc…

Is there a surefire way to protect labels? Saranwrap? (would there be any issue with mold between the bottle and wrap?)

What other options are there for this?

OWC?

Nope…just 2 bottles, there are in a OWC (a 3 bottle case), but there is no top for the case.

Saran wrap works. Put it on tightly.

If you do open the bottle and still want to protect the label, then fully tape the wrap, esp. at the top. Otherwise, wine will find a way to get between the wrap and the label.

Saran Wrap works the best. It’s perfect and allows you to drink these awesome bottles by yourself and then refill them with plonk for the next offline. [gen_fro.gif]

Of Course…but its gonna be a few decades before these bad boys get opened.

Decades?!?!?!?! And you think YOUR sorry ass is making it that long? [taunt.gif]

Younger than you…and no ninos to weigh me down.

True dat! Although I didn’t say I was making it either.

i use tissue paper, keep the saran wrap for other uses.

Shawnda just brought a lot of sexy cougar-ness to our forum…

You can also use newspaper sleeves/bags. They’re about a penny a piece and much easier than saranwrap.

Should have mentioned this…they are 3L’s

Use the Sunday edition.
