Several people from the boards have made it up to his place the last 3 months, so TNs are starting to arrive. I am sure there will be many on the 08s before they go on sale, so there will be less buying on faith next time around. Anyone here who really wants to try them should reach out to him on his site. You can go up and try them yourself and feel free to report back to the board with your findings.

Yeah, the 06 Era is the best Alpha Omega I have had of any vintage from them yet. There was the special 07 bottling at the Premier Auction that tipped me off to them in Feb, but that is not a released wine, so it doesn’t really count. Not sure what “Barrel 9” is, actually.

FWIW I was not shocked or offended in the least by Roy’s posts. Roy, keep the notes coming–discovering new wineries is a big part of why I frequent wine BB’s. That and arguing about alcohol levels in wine.

I think Roy’s right. The proof is in the recommendations. I’ve know you can be fair and still talk about a friend’s wine. My line is to not talk about what I don’t like, because people have thin skins. Omission isn’t criticism, but I will talk about things I really like and back it up with my wallet. I don’t see Roy doing anything different.

But what I really thought would have been brought up by now…does Pott come in ounces or grams? [training.gif]

Hopefully it is the '07 BTK Cab that I got a barrel sample of. Wine of my Napa trip…by a long shot.

In the strange but true category, just got an email from Pott Wine REDUCING my price on the Cab Franc by 15 bucks because they intended all along to price it cheaper than the Cabs. Not bad! Kudos to Aaron.
