An interesting comparison of completely opposite styles of Pinot Noir. Both of these wines are absolutely delicious in their own way but some people would probably cringe at the sight of both bottles open on the same dinner table.
Below are the notes from CT.

2002 Nicolas Potel Corton - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru (11/23/2009)
Opened at the same time as a bottle of 06 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir in what turned out to be an interesting study in contrasting styles of the varietal. This Grand Cru Burgundy could not be more the polar opposite of the KB and at the same time be equally appealing. The nose shows a really nice mix of earth, truffle, and red berries. On the palate it is light to medium bodied with a very elegant texture a bit of a spice note on the finish. It’s hard to say which of the two wines I preferred. Both were delicious in their own way. 2006 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Amber Ridge Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (11/23/2009)
Pop and pour, consumed over about 2 hours. This bottle showed better then the bottle we had back in January with nice cherry and cola scents and a good spice element. Seems to be a little better balanced on the palate with nice depth and concentration of the fruit and a great finish. Very nice. (93 pts.)
