Post your CELLAR PIC time…..

Pro tip: put your daily drinkers in the boxes on the bottom. You’ll get a workout every time!

I had previously designed and built two cellars in our former home in Chicagoland, but this one required a ladder with the 15 foot ceilings even though I am 6’4

Another interesting approach here, is we went with double deep bins to maximize space.

But hey at lease you have plenty of room to stack those boxes to the celling…I’m envious of all that wall space

Or you find out it’s just the right kick you needed to jump into the good stuff. :berserker:

it’s great for a highly irritable lower back disc as well!

Happy to report I got that mess under control. Got another shipment of Uline six pack carriers in last week. For those of you unfamiliar with them they aren’t cheap but they are wonderful for your wine locker. A uniform size box that holds every size bottle, is sturdy heavy duty cardboard and has built-in handles. The older I get the more I appreciate the substantial investment I make in these boxes. They are a game changer for Locker organization.

How big are those boxes relative to a 6 pack shipper?

A good bit smaller because no need to have shipping protectors. The difference is easily grabbing a box with 6 bottles with one hand vs struggling with a flimsy 12 bottle case. Over time Ive accumulated more and more and Im almost completely in them now. Ive got over 100 boxes now. Having perfectly sized uniform size boxes is a game changer for managing your locker

13" tall X 10 3/4" wide X 7 1/4" deep (the interior is slightly smaller these are exterior dimensions)

Asbestos wrapping on the pipes?
I hope not.

Fiberglass with paper cover. Steam heat pipes.
