They are 126 bottle Wine Enthusiast Swedish Wood racks. It appears they are no longer available which is too bad as they are nice racks and I could use one more.
I wanna hang with Jimmy, he seems like a cool dude!
“Those are moon rocks… straight from Mars.”
I am not too proud to admit that I just learned how to pronounce the names of a few different wineries from Jimmy Butler.
It’s all amazingly tasteful.
I hope Jimmy doesn’t end up bankrupt like so many other athletes.
And just like Maya in Sideways, it was Sassicaia that turned him
That dude had a $146MM contract that is almost 100% guaranteed. He’s gonna be just fine haha.
It’s true we may be in a new era where the highest paid athletes are almost bulletproof financially. But there are dozens of stories of well paid athletes, and other entertainers, squandering most or all of their money. Everything in that video has value, so worst case he can always sell lol.
Shit that’s awesome - as a Bulls fan I still love Jimmy. For anyone who cares, his house is on Maderas Golf Club outside of San Diego (excellent course BTW). Played there earlier this summer and the starter gave us the heads up about his house (also complained how it took several years to finish)
Love the elegance of the transparent QR codes! Are these printed through CellarTracker? If so, what brand of label printer, print setting, and roll of label are you using? Would love to replicate this look!!!
Also, how is the “per-slot” QR coding treating ya (versus “per-column”?). Worth the hassle?
No, I didn’t print them through Cellartracker. They’re Avery 94102 (3/4" square) labels in Glossy Clear Film. I made a spreadsheet of the barcode values and text labels and then used the online Avery Print & Design tool to put them into a template that fits those label sheets. I printed them on a laser printer. I do have a Dymo printer I use for bottle labels directly from CT, but (at least when I looked) I couldn’t find any small clear labels that would work for this application.
I’m happy with the per-slot system. It works well for how my brain thinks of things. I can always find what I am looking for, and I haven’t found it to be significant additional hassle to keep things updated.
Ah I see–but the barcode values for the Bin QR codes must have been generated via CT, is that right?
And when reconciling your inventory, I take it you are using a dedicated 2D barcode scanner?
Thanks for your replies, it’s really helping out!
I followed the CT format for bin barcode values, but I didn’t literally generate them in CT. I just formatted them with the “B_” prefix, like “B_AJ12” for wall A, column J, row 12 (and in a second column, I formatted that same value as “AA 12” for the human-readable label printed below the QR code).
I use an AirTrack S2-BT scanner, and it has worked well for me.
Dang, that is incredible!
I dig the library ladder look, pretty slick.
Beautiful cellar!
