That’s Crystal Balling?? It seems like he’s just quoting the reality of the market of the last 12 months. Also, importers preparing for the 2009 vintage? I think he’s got it all wrong there. Who he’s he talking to? So, importers, wholesalers, retailers are dumping goods at a loss for the last 12 months to generate cash to buy another overpriced vintage where they could MAYBE make a couple of bucks in the SHITTIEST market I’ve ever seen? What planet does he live on??
What a great business move: buy overpriced goods with crappy currency while we still have to feel the full effect of high unemployment, real estate crash, absence of credit. Then, when the economy possibly rebounds along with the dollar, we all get stuck with goods bought with a weak currency and replacement value is actually lower. Sure, there are the usual exceptions (Lafite, maybe Ausone and a couple of other wines) but so what? Oh, and he can include 2008 Bordeaux in the mix to be dumped as well.
Nice shot! Three drunken idiots. I finally finished scanning all the negatives last night and I will be posting a link to the beautiful and sexy shots I took.
The one with Dan barfing all over himself, pulling his pants down and dancing on the table will have to. I already sent it to The Enquirer to make a couple of bucks though.
