Porcini in abundance and wildflowers

Another great day in the mountains. Found all the porcini I needed in less than an hour. Wildflowers everywhere but the iris are on their last legs. Have had sauteed boletes nightly with different wines, including 2003 Clos des Papes CdP, 2000 Dujac Echezeaux, 1999 Beaux Freres and 2000 Domaine Serene, and last was a 1996 Rinaldi Barolo ( with braised short ribs ). Maybe a Bordeaux tonight.

Out of the ground

Sorry - these are out of the ground…

Wow, Jack - bravo!

Not the right place for these but they look edible.

It all looks great, Jack. Thanks much.

Jack, thanks so much for sharing the bounty. Dick’s cooking them up right now in prep for freezing. [thankyou.gif] [worship.gif] We’re having lamb chops tonight so plan to save them for a good piece of veal or beef!
