Poker for Wine -- Sat. Nov. 7th -- WCC in Orange County

Some folks are gathering at the WCC in Irvine on Sat. Nov. 7th, 11am -6pm to play some poker. The game will be Texas Hold 'Em, tournament style. Buy-in for the game will be a bottle of wine with a value of approx. $25-$30. Theme for drinking bottles is “one of your favorite Pinots” – theme not rigid. We have room for around 20 people. We have about 7 definite “yes” right now, and a handful of maybes. If you’re interested in attending, let me know and I’ll get you more information – or you can check-out the thread on the CT board (“OC Poker 4 Wine IV – Sat., Nov. 7th”).

Buy-in: any bottle with a current CT ave. value of $25-$30.

Theme for Drinking Bottles: a favorite Pinot.

BYO stems too!! … If you are playing poker and want to drink wine at the table you must drink out of STEMLESS glass … so bring any stemless you have. Thanks.

Count me in. I have a pending commitment that may cross this date (will know within the next week, I am certain) but it sounds like fun. By the way, may I suggest we also try a game of Omaha. Very similar to Hold Em but I think it’s a better game.

We are going to make you play REAL poker for a change Frankie! We are playing a tourney so no changing the game mid stream. It’s the King of poker games until Patrick again takes most of our bottles.

We’d love to make this one, but we’ll have to wait and see as things are very iffy with my back right now.

If you want to car-pool you’d just have to be at our place by 10 - 10:15ish on Sat. morning. Or you could come on down Friday night – we could build some couch-cushion forts, pop some popcorn [popcorn.gif] and watch scary movies in our jammies. [tease.gif]

I don’t get the buy in piece? Explain a bit more on how the money and chip buy-ins will work. I need some help on that.
