Poggio Al Vento 2001

Top draw sangiovese with a killer nose of dark intense Cherries, spicses and some hints of tobacco. The mouth is more rustic with some gamy tones and great tannins and a lively kick of acidity. A big finish rounds up nicely and the wine fits perfectly with fresh pasta and truffles. I will revisit in about 5 years’ time! 95 points
