Which St Innocent Pinot to Open:

  • 2002 Anden
  • 2003 White Rose
  • 2004 Temperance Hill
  • 2005 Temperance Hill

I have a hankering for some St Innocent Pinot Noir and Pizza tonite. Which should I open? My preference is to drink the one most ready. But I have no idea. Please help. I’ll post notes later.

Definitely NOT the 02. I think based on vintage alone, the 03 makes the most sense.

OK, that’s what I opened.

First whiff was really meaty. Oh, oh, spoiled from a wet vintage? First taste was really woody. But the wine really opened up in the glass. After a bit of air the wine is delicious. Lovely blackberry wine with mouthwatering acidity. Nice balance, easy drinking, yum.
