In Panama City, Panama for work this week. Have been pleasantly suprised by the pricing of wine here, it appears to be very small markups. For example 2007 Tinganello was $110 and 2007 Pio Cesare Barolo around $80…granted these are still young but nice to not pay 2-3 times retail price.
Welcome to Panama! The wine drinking scene here is a bit suprising, we do have a great selection of wines available. Most of the wines consumed are Spanish and Italian, and mostly red wines. Check out my site where I taste through wines that are available here, and some that are no longer available. http://panamawinereview.blogspot.com
