Bay Ridge Brooklyn, New York pizzerias need to step up their game. I haven’t seen a pizza look that good in a long time. Kinda jealous.

I’m a full on Hell Yeah on that. As usual, your posts are the most joyful of the day!
IIRC, posts on DRC and pizza got some of us a lot of push back back in the day (either here on on the Parker board).
Leave some of those Hawaiian good vibes for us. Arriving June 6 for my 70th birthday dinner.

What year Merlot?

Opened a Ravenswood ‘99 Cab Franc with a red sauce dish this week and ways amazed at the quality of the wine and structure still left (still needed a decant). First experience with Joel’s “library” releases and can’t wait to continue to dig down the rabbit hole with the other 11 bottles

Homemade pizza, demolished a great deal quicker than it took to make.
The wine was
2022 La Révélation Roussane (France, Vin De France)

This is a mystery; Mrs M got it, probably as a prize in a raffle, but she can’t remember where. She left it in the kitchen because she only want NZ savvie. And so it languished until I rescued it to go with my pizza.

It’s a mystery because it’s a Vin de France. The back label goes on about getting the grapes from a winegrower whose vineyards are at a high altitude on granite, but careful reading shows that refers to the winemaker’s first Roussanne vintage, not this. The back label says it is a product of Direct Wine, which is Laithwaites and associated names.

It was a suitable accompaniment, quiet nice, but we wouldn’t buy it. Out of stock on Laithwaite site but was priced at £13.99

I had this with pizza last night but didnt get a picture of the pizza.

Great thread! Ive got a Pitfire Pizza a mile from my house that makes really good pizza and $5 corkage which they often waive for me any way. It’s on my weekly rotation. I’ll be back here posting next week!!
