Pizza and Wine…post your pic!

Is this a local joint Mike?

Chris

Pizza West in La Vista on the other side of Giles from Costco and Cabela’s.

Avalon Wine (Portland, OR) still has some 2017 NeroSanloré: $60/btl or $50/btl as part of a case. To me, it’s drinking nicely–still fresh but now well integrated, with morello cherry, purple flowers, loamy earth.

2020 Belargus Quarts - scents of apple, chamomile, flint, juicy fruit bubblegum. The palate is medium to med-full bodied, framed by bright acidity…but this has advanced substantially (premox?). Drink now for minimal risk

I have to say, your dog is exercising remarkable self-restraint! :slightly_smiling_face:

He’s a good boy…he has an obsession with belly-buttons now, more-so than pizza even. He’s the least food-motivated dog I’ve encountered.

Everything about that post is calling me in! Looks wonderful Brian!

The best pairing of pizza and wine in my life was in Bologna at Il Veliero, not far from the train station. Had a quattro stagione with a half-litre pitcher of the house sangiovese. That wine felt like it wasn’t finished fermenting yet; had some residual sugar and was a bit frizzante. Absolutely delicious and marvelous with the pizza.

Il Veliero is amazing. You need to put your name in when you arrive, and if the wait list clears, you’ll get an invite inside. As I recall the average mid-week wait was about 1-1/2 hours.

Sounds amazing! That was my first gragnano and it’s like an adult fruit punch. Love the slightly sweet and fizzy combo with the pizza like you’re describing! Cheers to more!

I have seen sushi “burritos,” but haven’t yet seen sushi pizza until your post. With that said, I’d try it for sure!

Should it be called sushi pizza if the fish is cooked with the pie?
