Pinot Days Southern California, January 14-17

Is anyone planning to attend this event? I missed the one in SF this year so I am happy to see one much closer to home.

Sojourn will be there - we’ll be pouring four 2008’s.

I can’t make the big show but may make the mini one at Winex.

Rumor has it that Pinot Days may be coming to Boston (I hope flirtysmile ).

Unfortunately, we aren’t going to be there. We love PinotDays and would love to participate…but that is the same weekend as the Russian River Winter Wineland event and we are always incredibly busy that weekend and don’t have the folks to spare.

Seems like there is always something going on every weekend these days which makes it hard to do everything you want to do.

Fess Parker will be in attendance - both at the main event and at both winemaker dinners. I hope to be there in person, pouring not only our 07’s but barrel samples of our ready to bottle 08’s!

Let me know if you’ll be there - would love to meet more berserkers in person and put a face with an avatar!!!

Cheers!

I’ll be there on the 17th.

I will be pouring on Sunday. Adam… you b@st@rd! Who am I going to drink cocktails with at breakfast?

Looks like trade tasting is 11-1 pm and public is 1-5 pm.

Would love to hook up for breakfast with anyone pouring or attending, for some food and bloody marys.

Hey Paul, will likely go on Sunday. Maybe we can arrange a dinner after? Will e-mail or text you. Thanks for the link, btw, I deleted their phone message about tix and this jogged my memory.

Did someone say dinner? And Jeff, could we actually meet in person?!?!?!?

Count me in if you guys make this happen!!!

Cheers!

They don’t allow ‘media’ as part of the trade tasting - fail.

I’ll be there for sure.

Dinner sounds appetizing. Let me know if this is on.

Need to check with the boss, but she likes Pinot’s and since Monday is a holiday… I may be able to twist her arm and make this.
Interested in dinner as well.

Meet in person, Larry?? What? That is outrageous…

So I spoke to a somm friend at a resto in SM that I’d like to arrange something at. It looks like I can set something for Sunday evening, the 17h, early-ish. Why don’t we see what kind of interest we have and I’ll book it. Sound good??

What time would work for those of you that have to be at the event most of the day? I will likely do the trade part of the tasting that is over early so I have a more flexible schedule.

And happy New Year Berseker-peeps!

Jeff,

I’ll be pouring the entire event, so I will not be able to make it until after . . . but I’d dig something right after if possible! I should be able to scedaddle pretty quickly, and if we can do something in SM, that’s cool as well! Count me in as a solo!

Do we need to start a separate thread on this?!?!?

Also, is anyone going to either of the prepared dinners?!?!? I’ll be pouring two wines at the Peninsula Hotel dinner on Thursday (along with Inman, Keller and a few others) and will take part in the dinner at Sage in Newport on Saturday . . .

Cheers and Happy New Years!!!

I’m pouring at the Sage event on Saturday also. Didn’t realize how far south it was when I signed up. At least it should be a chance to taste other people’s wines. It’s torture at the main event to see an ocean of great pinot in the room that you can’t get to because you’re pinned to your table. I enjoy pouring, but I like tasting better.

If you put together a dinner event, definitely put a new thread in Offline Planner - it will draw more people in, and make it easier to organize.

Stewart,

I’ll be pouring at Sage as well . . . let me know if you’ll want to carpool!!!

Cheers!

Bummed we won’t be pouring (was swamped at work and missed out on registration… ugh…) I love the Pinot Days events. Saw Ed K today and sounds like he’ll be there. Should be a great time.
