So Pennsylvania is dumping a lot of back vintages of some higher end stuff. Great prices on 03 and 04 Yquem, Margaux at great prices, etc. I went light on this sale. Got 2 of the 04 Leroy Chambolle-Musigny for $150 each (greenies be damned) and a few of the Vina Cobos Marchori for $80. Great prices. Storage is always an issue for Pennsylvania but my feeling is that wines ordered directly from pawinesandspirts.com, as opposed to the stores, are handled better.
So this morning, they sent a “special” email highlighting the two 04 Screaming Eagle magnums they have for sale (and have had for sale for quite a while, I think). These mags are part of the Harvest Sale. $5999.99 each. Should be interesting to see if they move them.
