great reds & whites @ fair prices! well done and well deserved.
Thanks for posting the link, Larry. I heard about this last night and I was waiting for the story to show up on the SFGate website. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving winery - congrats to Vanessa, Nick, Andy, and Ami!
Oops, I forgot Ami!

Andy seems like a really nice guy and the Scallop Shelf Pinot is awesome. Good article
Couldn’t happen to nicer, more dedicated people!!!
I am on the mailng list and still have an allocation for the Fall release. I am more interested in the white wines which release in the Spring I guess?
Congratulations to an outstanding team making outstanding wine!
Their Chard, along with Arnot Roberts, and Eric Kent are the best value Chards produced in CA, IMO.
This was a really well thought-out and researched choice, and a terrific article on the folks at Peay. I couldn’t agree more with the selection, and hope it brings them even more well deserved attention. Having been out to the vineyard a number of times, I can attest to the amount of work and care that goes into the wines, literally from the ground up. Though the Pinots and Chardonnay are the higher production wines (and both excellent), the two syrah bottlings are for me perhaps some of the finest examples of California syrah year in and year out.
Hopefully this gets Peay a bit more consumer recognition. I was amazed at picking up the '06 Scallop Shelf pinot for $35 off winebid! I have not had the Chards yet, sounds like I need to correct this oversight!

For us, it is hard to sell their PNs. Let me know if you want some…
07 Scallop Shelf?
Very cool and thoughtful write up. Andy’s the one I know best, and the article captured his personality perfectly. A great choice for winery of the year!
Same here. I’ll hoist some Peay in the near future.
