Great to see it finally return! [cheers.gif]

Coolness. When is the release date?

Thanks. Just registered.

They going to use those massive bottles again? newhere

Any idea what the price points will be?

The website doesnt give any info. Says wines not available

Can’t wait - nice to get a peek at the new wines and vineyard sites. I REALLY hope these land somewhere in-between the Wind Gap and Arghata styles.

Thanks Brian, we are super excited too! 2.0!!

Stewart, when the offer goes live the wines will be made available.

Nate, we may release this week.

Jody, these wines will be true to their sites…and based on these sites, the wines are bigger and more intense than the Wind Gap Wines and much different than the Agharta wines…these are right where we left off…

Thanks for the heads up. Signed up…hopefully this will allow me to lay off my elder V1.0 Pax.

Woo Hoo!

No Walker Vine Hill? Too bad, my favorite Pax 1.0V bottling.

Just registered.

Congrats! Looking forward to tasting the current wines!

I’m super excited to hear that. I loved your old wines - some of my favorite Syrahs in all of California!

Pax, I’m excited just seeing the labels! Can’t wait.

I can already tell this is gonna hurt the credit card: all those wines look like home runs

I am a huge fan of Wind Gap wines and Griffins Lair vineyard. I’ve only had a few Pax wines, all from the 2002 vintage (Alder Springs, The Terraces Alder Springs and Walker Hill). I found them all a little ripe and jammy for my tastes. Was that due to the vintage or is that would I should expect from the new Pax wines? I definitely lean more towards the AFWE camp now, though I still enjoy Carlisle syrahs and rhone blends. I will likely try at least the Griffins Lair and perhaps some of the north coast bottlings.

Sounds very interesting Pax. Could you say something about how they are different from Agharta?

I signed up today, although I had a snag with the signup piece, which the winery fixed and so I am locked in now.

I still have some 2005s hanging around my cellar, and some 2002s, all Castelli-Knight, which to me was the best stuff Pax made before the split. I’d be interested to see where the new Pax wines fit into the Wind Gap spectrum, as I am a fan of the Wind Gap stuff and think it’s on the bitchen end of the spear where I drink now and so it’s a regular purchase–acid, juicy, meaty, pepper for the syrahs, and juicy and focused, red fruited for the pinot. As to where the Pax wines will sit in relation to the Wind Gap stuff, I would like to taste that comparison and see.

I am still drinking thru 2005 Pax bottles and they are really good.

Frank, definitely 2005 is my favorite Pax vintage (so far). I’m really interested in the style of these new wines since, probably in opposition to your tastes, I personally preferred the Pax Griffin’s Lair to the Wind Gap (of which I’ve only opened the '07). At this point Pax has a huge amount of experience with these sites and with different styles of winemaking. I’m enthusiastic that the best is yet to come from both brands.

BTW we opened an '09 Wind Gap Sonoma Coast Pinot the other night and it was a total “wow” wine for us. I’ve liked the WG pinots but not been super excited about the ones I’ve opened but this was spectacular.
