Palisades Canyon Wines Inaugural Release 10/8/24

I can appreciate that, and I generally consider producer above all. But when hundreds of dollars are involved, I prefer to buy wines for the first time with the best chance for success. Now, if you’re pouring, that’s another story!

Having tasted both the Cabernet and Chenin I can say that the 2022s are successes, and not just within the context of the vintage. I have no reason to expect the Petite will be any different.

Pass if you must, but it shouldn’t be because these can be thought of as somehow “lesser” wines.

While I like getting special treatment and have bought from them before (wished for CB this go around), this seems like a totally reasonable strategy to me. They have more CB coming online in upcoming vintages, makes sense to get it out there broadly.

I think their Cabernet is special. I think it is one of the best Cabs I’ve had in a while and that was from a pretty mediocre vintage. The PS is good, so I bought a 3-Pak, but the varietal just doesn’t do much for me beyond the occasional BBQ so I will likely not be buying a ton of this moving forward.

It will be interesting to watch this winery. I think their dedication, understanding of the land and their winemaker will only make these wines better moving forward. But I am most excited about the Cab.

Agreed on the cab 100%. Easily one of the top 22 cabs ive had.

Hi folks
Just curious if anyone else got this offer. PS Rose sounded interesting so I bought my allocation of 3.

Yea but past on my offer. Would love to support but $74/bottle all-in for rose is a tough sell

Can’t blame you. I decided to give it a try, but agree that rose at that price is steep.

Would love to see some tasting notes. Never had a PS rose and I don’t doubt that its good but the relative value isn’t there for me

I tasted this wine on Sunday. It has uncommon depth for a Rose. It is terrific. I bought a 3 pack.

Thank you for sharing.

2023 Cabernet offering for previous buyers is live now; in for a 3-pack.

In for two 3-packs. Slight price increase this year at $10 per bottle. Now $480 per 3-pack or $160 per bottle.

Had a 2022 Palisades Canyon Cab last week and got an unsolicited “this is really good” from my wife on her first sip. My wife is a critical taster and hard to impress and only says “this is really good” on very few wines.

In for a 3 pack for now, but might go back from more given how much I dig these.

I bought a 3 pack as well. Does anyone know if there will be any other benefits to being a Founders Circle member other than guaranteed allocations? Just curious, I’ve only bought 9 total this year anyway.

Main reason is to get access to the Chenin.

In for a 3-pack.

Interesting that this has not gotten a bit more traffic.

2023 so I am in for two 3-packs!
