Check out this wine we got for Halloween: Kalamity.
Anyone had it?
I was just reading about the white last night actually. Someone had suggested it as an alternative to Tondonia Blanco.
How was the red?
How was the Kalamity? Jason Wilson has mentioned it several times on his Everyday Drinking substack. He’s been tasting Bastegieta’s wines for a while and thinks that he’s an amazing winemaker. Some interesting thoughts here: I Don’t Believe In Much, But I Believe In Old Vines and I’m intrigued. The wines are not inexpensive, but Wilson makes them seem like a bargain, given the quality.
It was young, not heavy. I liked it but my memory was overwhelmed by the Italian Cabernet we had the next night.
