Another simple cozy midweek dish to warm your soul.
Ingredients
200g Orzo (greek pasta)
500g veggie or chicken broth, hot
200g milk
80g Scarmoza (smoked Mozzarella), grated
1/2 tsp salt
30g butter
3 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
1 tbsp thyme leaves
Preparation
- Heat butter and cook garlic slices for 2-3min softly
- Add Orzo pasta combine.
- Then add hot broth, bring to boil. Lower heat mmediately and let it simmer with lid for 10min. on low heat. Stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.
- After 10min add milk and let it simmer with lid for another 10-12min. on low heat. Stirring occasionally.
- Around 5min before the end add salt&black pepper and thyme leaves.
- At the end after 20-22min cooking time add grated smoked mozzarella and combine. Turn of the heat. Check whether the Orzo is creamy and has a little bit bite. Ready to serve.
