Wine Bar George is close. Can sit at the bar and eat.
There is a JW Grande Lakes and a JW Bonnet Creek. At Grande Lakes, Primo at the JW is actually a pretty good place to have a meal. The JW is connected to the Ritz Carlton which has a couple of good places- The Michelin starred Knife and Spoon and another place called High Ball and Harvest, more of a southern food place.
I am not familiar with the Bonnet Creek location but as Mr. Kriete, my Gator colleague, stated, Wine Bar George is nearby.
Quicksand is near downtown Orlando. I have not been but my adult daughter likes it- more of a natural and biodynamic wine selection. Probably about a 35 minute drive from the JW depending on traffic. Other more local places near downtown are Kaya, The Strand, Kabooki, Osteria Esther and The Sparrow wine bar. Further on in Winter Park is Prato. Sandlake Road about 10 minutes from the JW also has a slew of restaurants albeit mostly higher end chains.
I am Alfert’s neighbor and longtime riding buddy- I don’t always freely admit this point. But if you want to ride with us while you are here, I am sure we can get you a bike
huge and thank you.
id love to ride but all ill have is late morning tuesday to the early evening. staying at bonnet creek. if you guys ride on a random tuesday, let me know. otherwise, thank you for the excellent info.
Bonnet Creek is essentially on Disney property. For convenience, I would just go to Wine Bar George in Disney Springs or there is a place called the Boathouse , also in Disney Springs. It is touristy but good . It is operated by the Gibson’s restuarant group out of Chicago. Or google Sandlake rd. restaurants and see if there is anything that suits your fancy. I recall there being a wine bar along there that is not a chain .
