I did it again by Robert. Britney Spears - Oops!.. I Did It Again (Lyrics)

This is what I got when I clicked on the link!

I think you know I would not be caught dead in a Tesla!

Yup, the Alferts use priceless Ming vases as vehicle blocks…in both houses.

It just didn’t jive with our Cuban art

The real problem is that we had grandma in one of the vases

I tipped over a bottle in the cellar and it must have hit just right and absolutely detonated :rage:

Nice wine too, 2019 Armand Heitz Pommard 1er Poutures.

I’ve averaged about 0.8 broken bottles a year and unfortunately they’ve skewed nice, worst was 19 Lignier CDLR

Alto Moncayo comes to mind…but yes we also had that bottle on the list when I was @ Havana in bar Harbor.

'86 Cos comes to mind - stained my concrete floor pretty well. I have moved since then. Reminder to self - drop bottles of white wine.

Not me, but my older sister. About 35 years ago she dropped and broke a 1966 Louis Martini Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon I had given her. Not the charmed ending I had hoped for a well-aged Cabernet.

Ooof! Sorry to hear that! Having a bottle of that in the cellar myself, i know how bummed id be if i broke it

My only loss was inside my suitcase coming home from Germany. I lost two bottles of Kruger Rumpf that shattered in transit. I had to toss the suitcase.

The loss is on me, I didn’t wrap the bottles in sleeves and kept them in the nice box they gave me to take the bottles with.

I’ve broken slightly less than one bottle a year on average:

The damage:

2019 Armand Heitz Clos des Poutures
2019 Hubert Lignier Clos de la Roche
2009 Dom Perignon
2007 Quiceda Creek Gatlizine Vineyard

A few random rhone bottles (not too expensive) that broke when a weinbox I was carrying randomly collapsed. I think there was a champet vialerre and a cornas premices.

I broke the very first bottle of wine I ever bought in Austin at the door to a wine store. The bag broke. The store felt sorry for me and replaced it. It was a St. Emilion and I don’t remember the name as it was 54 years ago.

One bottle.

Isn’t there an Alfert thread about this that we can merge @ToddFrench?

Sadly I have broken more 3L+ than I’ve opened.

I now own nothing bigger than mags

1958 Cantina (Bartolo) Mascarello Barolo. Dropped on the floor of my cellar. It smelled SO good. Birth year wine.

As a 58 baby, I almost cried reading this.
