By mistake I ended up with 6 each of these two PNs.
'06: Strong aromas of truffle, spices, forest floor, herbs. Palate is loaded with lively acidity but also a tad clipped. However all in all a pleasure to drink at a very affordable price for club members.
'11: The big question is whether it lives up to the level of the '10. The wine is still surprisingly primary showing mostly red PN fruit aromas, very powerful nose. Palate is also intense without being overbearing and has a long finish. However, at this point the key is that the wine seems just superbly balanced structurally. A bit of age will give it the grace to make it even better. Very much an outstanding wine and possibly great as well. Again the price is, like the '10 very low if you compare with other PN of this caliber.
I’ve only tried the '10 once about 6 months ago, but have two bottles left. It still sits there in my memory as one of the best CA PN I tried last year, possibly the best.
