Official WTSO thread

Yawn…

Their .375 marathon for their anniversary was a joke. If you search, you can still purchase at same price as the marathon.

WTSO has really gone downhill over the past few years. I used to buy fairly frequently and they would get some good deals, now I haven’t really been tempted by anything for a really long time. You would think in this down market they should be feasting on finding really good deals.

The last WTSO deal I jumped on was when they offered 2021 Patrica Green. And that’s been at least a year, I’d think. Nothing since then has really jumped out at me. I was actually just thinking today that I should probably unsubscribe from their emails.

Didn’t they have a run of Sojourn this year?

Yes at bargain prices

I think I’ve made six purchases ever, comprised of Patricia Green, Sojourn, Gramercy and Limerick Lane.
The latter three were in the last year, though.

I check every day but my last purchase was a year ago: EIEIO pinots.

Well, if you don’t like any of their deals, more for me.

They definitely sell (or try to sell) a TON of wine for little or no discount, so I get the malaise.

Opened a 2017 Prospice Phinny Hill Cab Franc from WTSO. Fantastic. Might be the best $25 cab franc deal I’ve had….waiting on my Cam X.

I am absolutely not the expert for Burgundy, but their Burgundy event seems horribly priced. Where did they get their pricing?

Maison Roche de Bellene Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2021
WTSO: $140
Sarratoga: $70
Cellartracker average: $76

I’m not sure what’s going on with the Gevrey Chambertin, but the other wines in the event seem to be priced reasonably. This is a pretty good producer (RIP), so I don’t imagine the discounts will be too steep. I did really enjoy their Nuits St Georges so was disappointed to not see that in the lineup. Maybe someone who knows the producer better can pitch in on the QPR here.

Ok, I had spot-checked a couple others and they weren’t egregious but also standard market rate pricing, nothing like a deal. Message received about the producer.

Received a FB ad for WTSO this morning, coupon code FALL10 or ANNIVERSARY19 for $10 off $100.

2021 Sun Break Pinots available as part of WTSO’s WV Pinot Sale; great wines!

Very very good deal on very good wines. Made more so with the $10 coupon,

Agreed. A lot of nice wines for good prices and free shipping.

I got my $100 worth. Sun Break (cool concept; never had) and a Boedeker

that Marie Paule reserve that sold out for $22 is a ridiculous deal.

This was the 2022 Reserve? CellarTracker tells me that I bought at $45.
