Yes, I avoided the 2021 when I saw that 16%, but in hindsight, I probably would’ve liked it!
It has to be a completely different style from the 2022 and only 14.4%!
It’s been a little while, but I recall it being a really good value bottle for the $12.99 paid a couple months ago. Wish I would’ve ordered a couple more for family gatherings.

In case anyone else is looking at it, I’ve had that 2019 K Vintners Broncho Malbec now. Bought 3. They are not gonna be long lived beyond a couple years in bottle. The cork was pristine on mine. Taste really nice on pop and pour but the fruit fades and oxidizes quickly over a night or two. They need to be opened and drank. The initial pop and pour is really nice though.

On another note…the 2021 Pirouette at $29.99 is a chef’s kiss 
kind of deal if you like a well done but somewhat lush red fruited Bordeaux blend. That wine has YEARS ahead of it. As time goes on, I enjoy the red fruited styled Washington cab/blends a bit less and less.

I think you can definitely wait that long and not feel bad about only buying 2. So much to choose from right now.
Darn - it looks like I already bought 1 bottle of the Long Shadows Pirouette from Wine Spies for $50. Maybe should get more from WTSO, but have so much wine now.
Thoughts on the mystery Rutherford cab now up for $90?
I thought that price was only for case club members because it states its for WTSO members. However, I’m being given that price even though I just have a regular account. I’m not in the case club. I don’t recall ever seeing this wine discounted so much. Although the price is at the top of my budget, it seems like an opportunity not to be passed up. This is the last day of the sale.
It’s a good price currently. Yes. But TWE is going to sell off the brand and liquidate assets. I have to believe we will be seeing a lot more BV GdL coming down the pipeline in the future.
Would love to see some Elivette pricing, not a GdL buyer until it drops below 60… I may be spoiled

Thanks for this info. I still may buy in case it doesn’t go much below $90 or is only sold through outlets that I’m not aware of. If it does end up eventually selling below $60, I’ll buy more.

Thanks for the discount codes! I had to add a few Lange Estate, 1 Resonance, and a few CDP’s. At $24 per bottle, it’s too good of a deal to pass up.
One of my local wine shops has the Lange “on sale” around $70, per bottle 
For those who are interested, I tried the 2021 Lange Yamhill-Carlton Assemblage and thought it was fantastic. It drinks like a $70 Pinot. Awesome stuff!

“ The latest overhaul of its US business, launched in June, involves fallowing vineyards, impairing brands and writing down stocks.
Treasury said it would reduce North Coast vintage volumes from 2026, including by fallowing vineyards to lower grape intake, prompting asset writedowns across its US network.
It will also write down stocks of predominantly bulk wine, which it expects to manage through sales into bulk wine markets and internal reclassification.
The brand impairment primarily relates to DAOU, Frank Family Vineyards and Beaulieu Vineyard.”
In short, I read the write down as they are changing the price for aging inventory that will be sold through non-retail channels, bulking off stocks of anything being made right now, and anything that isn’t labeled yet might also go to bulk. Step one, try to sell a difficult vintage as a mystery bottle for $90 and see how that goes.
Sorry, I guess selling the brand off completely isn’t really a guarantee but usually you try to make it look more profitable before you sell it.
