Scott, I think the '17 Carmes de Rieussec is a “winner”. I bought a single bottle to try and then went back for several more. @Ft Myers.
How was the Kirkland 1er Chablis? TN?
Has anyone tried the 2017 Kirkland Willamette Pinot? Is it worth picking up a few bottles? Just saw it at my local store.
I did pick up the '16 Oakville Cab, which I’ve had and enjoyed.
I’ve had both the '16 and '17 over the last week, and both are very good. Not sure I have a preference of one over the other, but the '16 seemed a bit richer, while the '17 seemed more classic Chablis (steely, minerally, etc.), with the '16 showing more complexity at this point (but possibly not having the longevity potential of the '17).
Thank you!
I’m not a Chablis/ (or White Burgundy) expert by any means but the 2017 Kirkland Chablis seemed like a nice wine for the price (~$19). I paired with the Dungeness Crab (from Costco). I saved some of the wine for the next night under VacuVin in the refrigerator. Seemed better/fresher on the first night but still fine.
Mtn View has the 08 Lenny Kravitz DP for the same $148.99 price as the regular.
Seattle SODO has the 2017 Reynvaan In the Hills Syrah for $65.
Dedham, MA has the ‘08 Dom back in stock $144.
Mountain View also with 2017 Beringer private reserve chardonnay 23.99
Not everyone’s style but delicious at the right times imo

Grabbed both the '17 Kirkland Premiere Cru Chablis (19.99) and '16 Caparzo Rosso di Montalcino (14.99) at the Atwater/Los Feliz Costco. Both were pretty darn satisfying for their price points. I saw the Kirkland Gigondas there as well and may pick it up next time.
Chablis was decent, maybe not ‘premiere cru’ level but at 19.99 no complaints. White flowers, green apple, steely, mineral. Caparzo was an easy cheap Sangio, blackberry, cherry, tobacco, earth. Good daily drinkers.
The 2010 Caparzo Rosso was really good too. I hardly ever buy rosso’s but would definitely drink that again off a list, wine bar or what not.
My local Costco is still keeping some of the 2008 Cristal in their will call secure area. Every damn time I shop, I pass that window, look into that small room and see the damn yellow plastic wrapped bottles staring back at me. I’ve walked past the window the past few months but I think one more is gonna go home with me here soon.

Stay strong Frankie!

What Costco is that? Mine never has anything good.
Livermore, CA
ERPark, that’s an exceptional discounted buy. I’d grab several of those!
Wow thats an awesome deal. I paid 120 for one 2005 Leoville Barton.
