Official Costco Thread

That’s crazy. I’ve never seen a wine markdown before at the Galleria Costco.

Which building number is that? :smirk:

Nothing has convinced me of how bad things are going for Bordeaux quite like the gradual appearance of wines I actually want at Galleria Costco after years of garbage garbage garbage.

Assuming this is the one on Washington, all of these are gone. Not even any empty bins or shelf slots. Were you talking about the location on Washington?

Culver City, Hawthorne and Inglewood were all barren wastelands today.

You must be kidding me. I will fly to South Cal for the 2021 Calon Segur and clear the house at this price. Do you have pictures?

I can see them in the app for that location. Low stock generally means OOS, but not always.

LLC: OOS
Cos: In stock
PC: OOS
Malescot: Low stock
Calon: Low stock

Others:
VCC ($150): In stock
Duclot '21 BDX collection ($6,500): In stock

They were nowhere to be found on the floor. Should I have been asking a store employee about them?

I don’t know your store set-up, but yeah, if it’s showing “in stock” but not on the floor, I would ask them to check the cage. If you have the item number they can pull up how many they have in stock.

YMMV: At my location (LP Chicago), they had some '20 Chateau Margaux (4 available per their computer), but couldn’t find them in the cage. My guess is that they gave them out to someone buying the '21. They don’t run the tightest ship:

Well, hell. Good to know. Oddly, when I looked in the app., none showed-up. I specifically had my eyes on the LLC, PC, and Calon. Was ready to buy a case of the Calon, a couple of the LLC and a couple PC. I’ll kinda be driving in that general location later, but at this juncture it’s starting to feel like too much work.

Still no dice in the app. WTH?!?

You need to be using the warehouse tab at the bottom. You’re searching the online store.

Thanks. Good grief — that is not intuitive. Great to know this now, wish I would have known when I made a trek to the store yesterday specifically for these items. Doh!

Using that you can find the item number, which I suggest you have on hand when talking to an employee. Searching “bordeaux” in the app should bring up most of them, but I also use “750” and “750ml” as well.

These were a Father’s Day Gift, and came from a Business Costco. I have tested them and they seem quite good. I don’t know the item #, price, nor the warehouse number family found them at.

Ribbed for your stem’s pleasure.

I see the price for the Leoville Las Cass as $200.7 on the app for local Socal.

Calon Segur 21 WSPro low is $100

Pontet Canet is $84
