Thanks! Interesting perspective for newer wine berserkers!
The death Star just indicates that they won’t be getting any more. Reduced prices usually end in 7 (sometimes 0 but have only seen for non -wine products).
Any thoughts on the Brughelli? I know there was a brief discussion on these a few years ago. There are almost no holdings in CT. In fact, there are more bottles of the chard in your photo than are listed in CT!
Uncalled for.
I’d never even heard of it. Kind of stunned to see $150 Santa Maria PN and Chard sitting on a Costco shelf.
It’s hard to picture it moving. Not because I know it’s not good or not worth some price (I have zero idea), but other wines in the $100+ price point at Costco are well established brands and usually from more frankly prestigious locations like Champagne, Bordeaux, Napa and Tuscany.
It just seems like quite an outlier for Costco. I get that Dominus, Cristal, Mouton, Flaccianello, wines like that sell at high price points at Costco. I also get that when I walk around Hi Time there are plenty of expensive wines I haven’t heard of. But I struggle to picture the buyer and product and price coming together on this one.
I had not heard of it either, so did a search on WB and found a few brief discussions, but nothing of any substance. But it just kind of blew my mind that in your photo there are 16-17 bottles of the chard but there are only 9 bottles of the '21 and 13 bottles of the '20 in CT! FWIW, the '19 is listed for $260 on the Brvghelli website, so I guess the Costco pricing is “good.”
Maybe it ended up at Costco because the label is misspelled!!!
I believe the Costco card is misspelled. https://brvghelli.wine
They can charge 150 bucks for wine and they can’t afford a vowel? So sad
Well, vowels do cost $250.
Seattle SoDo aka Store 001 has the 2022 Petalos for $11.99. Didn’t check Winesearcher but that seems like a good deal.
Jose Palacios?!??
Nice! I’d buy a case or two.
Took a flyer on this $22.00
Quite nice, restrained oak, good fruit, slightly bigger in style than my usual but would probably buy again.
Nice! Hartford makes great wines. I’m a huge fan of their zins
Ugly big-house Champagne prices.
