Anybody buying today’s release of Occidental?
For sure - just a matter of balancing with the other releases and the upcoming BD15. SWK, Catherine and Elizabeth are auto-buys for me (and the wife).

As someone new to the list (and having just ordered my RM’s), which ones will age the best? Given the price point, they will be reserved for a special occasion down the line. If could only get 4 bottles, how would you spend it?
Anyone care to share pricing on these? Any my assumption is that there is no ‘club discount’ - just the ability to purchase?
It looks like their AVA or regional bottling comes out separately at a lower price, right? Sorry - just not up to date on pricing on many things these days and pricing is not readily avaiable via online searches.

Honestly, I think they will all age really well. They have just not been around long enough to say for sure, but my limited experience tells me these are doing great, and no where near peak at around 8 years. I think 10-15 is VERY safe.
As for specific choices, I think you cannot go wrong, and personal preference comes in to play. The SWK is often one of the highest scoring wines, and I really like the Catherine. The Bodega and Occidental Ridge get high marks (really, they all do…) from critics this year.
@larry_schaffer: they are $125/bottle (plus not-discounted shipping & tax). I believe the AVA bottling is $65, but I am not certain.

The shipping is absurd, no other choice but 2nd Day UPS @ $80 to GA.

My allocation is also on Thursday. In years past, Ive still had all bottles available except SWK, which I was granted a WL for last year and hoping to be allocated at least 1 bottle of this year.
It seems like I have been buying for at least a few years now, there must be others on the list that have been buyers for longer than that
I bought 12 yesterday. Grabbed 2 SWK (full allocation), 2 Bodega Ridge, 2 Occidental Station, 3 Catherine and 3 Elizabeth.
Absolutely love the single vineyards and the '21 Freestone was great as the base bottling so was happy to go big (for me).

Same as @Michael_Levin and @William_Segui - my biggest buy of the year. Bought two cases when it opened. This may be my favorite wine, full stop.
I thought this was an excellent document, reviewing past vintages and identifying drinking windows for each. Much better than the typical “drink now!” recommendation you see from most winemakers.
Question - is Occidental on a waitlist? I’ve been buying for a while so not sure how long someone would have to wait to access some.

In for two Occidental Station and one each Catherine and SWK. If not for Maybach on Mon and RM on Tue, I would have liked to go bigger.
125 per bottle seems pretty steep for a pinot with other good pinots out there for less than 100.
