I’m looking forward to Kevin’s Nebb more than anything.

Very nice

Very nice little article. Thanks for sharing. I think, though, that Kevin et al jettisoned the Nebbiolo experiment because it wasn’t ripening. I could be wrong.

He’s back at it chasing the nebbiolo ghost and we’re rooting him on.

Very nice. Now, if I could get ever on the list!

Must be old photos in that article as the vines are all leafed out…

I wonder if this article will bump the wines avail at winebid this week?
Currently, one the of the twelve bottles is contested.

Congrstulations to Kevin and the Rhys team. A very nice article. I hope this one will not spawn complaints of Asimov-advocating-style like mant prior columns have.

Enjoyed the article but am I missing something – I didnt catch any reference of Nebbiolo in the article??

Rhys wines are totally Asimovized. Kevin is clearly picking earlier, using less intervention, avoiding consultants like Helen Turley and Michel Rolland, and using less oak just to please critics like Asimov and earn high praise that allow him to jack up the price and keep his mailing list long.

and making wines with a sense of place rather than an “international” style. The horror!!!

This was the second time Asimov has written about Rhys. His article in 2007 was one of the reasons I signed up.

IMO, One of the most interesting (and potentially far-reaching) ongoing grand experiments in the wide-world of Pinot Noir.

+1

I wonder if Bob H has given up on these CA wines too? [snort.gif]

Congrats to the Rhys family a much deserved write up. bravo!

Rhys wines cure headaches… [stirthepothal.gif]

TTT

You owe me a cup of coffee and a new keyboard. [snort.gif] That was hysterical!

Hmmm. Wait until Rhys starts to bottle their wines with a serial number …etc…etc…( similar to DRC ). Swan Terrace by Rhys will be the LT of Calif PN in 20 years from now. [cheers.gif]
