NYC'ers: Bar Boulud & CdP

Price is actually “reasonable” for a Boulud-sanctioned event. headbang

You going, Jorge?

At that price, unfortunately no Mike.

That is a ridiculously awesome price for that event. If I were in NYC I would so be there.

Great wines, Molesworth has always loved them and lately Parker rerated a 2003 a whopping 98 points!

The 2007 scores are through the roof!

Wow, that’s definitely an amazing price for all the wines (and the fact that it’s in NYC). Would love to go, except I just bought an iPhone.

I haven’t had a chance to taste the ferrando wines but the Saint Préfert are fantastic… Some of the top '07s out there and still reasonably priced.

To me these are among the more spoofed wines in CdP. Different tastes…

Peter, I’m all for different tastes and all that jazz… but we certainly have different definitions of spoofed.

More spoofed, not most spoofed. A lot of oak influence in my view. And sometimes difficult to recognise as a Chateauneuf du Pape. More so for the prestiges than for the basic bottling. But certainly there are CdP wines that are more spoofed.
